DBJ provided loans to the Roy Jumi poultry operation to expand and upgrade one of the most technologically advanced poultry farms in Jamaica. The fully automated 2.03-hectare farm, located in Nightingale Grove, St. Catherine, has three tunnel-ventilated poultry houses with a total capacity of 64,000 sq. ft and 96,000 birds per batch in these poultry houses.

The DBJ has also funded the installation of solar panels to provide alternate energy to the poultry houses thus significantly reducing the farm’s electricity bill.
